Checking for a hole in the base

We’ve found it common that end users decide to drill a whole in the base to screw their reader down to the table. (See below)

  • It’s mission critical that we educate the end users that they cannot do this. The base of these units is filled with wires needed for operation of the reader. If a wire is severed by screwing through the base, the unit will no longer power on and/or function properly.
  • Please ensure the reader has not been screwed down when trouble shooting faulty HSRF 500s.
